New York City in the 1770s

This map, called “Plan of the City of New York” by Bernard Ratzer, was discovered storage at the Brooklyn Historical Society in May 2010. Only three copies were thought to exist until this one was discovered and restored. You can compare the map in it’s very rough, unrestored state using this New York Times interactive piece.
